Movement Research Project by I. Alimskaya

Exploring Embodied Expressiveness

We are looking for two people

to join the Movement Research Project.

The project studies synergy between Michael Chekhov's Acting Methodology and the foundational principles of Laban-Bartenieff Movement System.

Are you curious about the intersection of movement, creativity, imagination and well-being?

Do you enjoy improvisations through movement or acting practices?

Then join us for an exploration of the dynamic synergy between

Michael Chekhov's Acting Method and

the Laban-Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS).

ABOUT

Knowing something about who you are as a mover leads to greater knowledge about who you are as a person…

My name is Irina Alimskaya, I am Founder of

“My Little Drama” Creative Lab.

I'm currently in the process of certifying in the Laban-Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS) to become a Movement Analyst, and for my final project, I invite you to participate in my Movement Research process through an engaging improvisation series.

Together, we'll dive into the dynamic synergy between Michael Chekhov's Acting Method and LBMS to enhance somatic awareness, explore imagination through movement, and unleash creativity in this transformative journey.

What to expect:

In these sessions, we'll uncover the truth of the moment, enhancing your somatic awareness, and dive into the dynamic interplay between imagination and movement impulses.

We will look at the Michael Chekhov's Acting Method with its psycho-physical approach to evoke the imagination, impulse and energy of movement. Together, we'll explore the nuances of attention and inner/outer gestures, seamlessly integrating them into our movement improvisations.

Each session is a unique blend of movement, reflection, and exploration.

It's not just a session; it's an invitation to dance through the realms of movement, reflect on the experience, and explore the endless possibilities that lie within!

Get ready to unleash your creativity and discover new dimensions of expressive movement!
